Introduction
Welcome to DMusic’s 2006 February Battles. First most and importantly, I am promising everyone a 99.9% fair tournament run by me. There will be public voting (we'll talk about this later... vote swaying or any form of cheating will be punishable by d/q or even death on a bad day)
This is an AUDIO battle tournament: NOT TEXT. This tournament will be held during February and the winner will be announced on March 6th , it consist of 24 opponents, and will last 4 rounds. Each round will last a week including the judging and posting. The battles will be 1 v.s.1 except for the finals which will be a 3 way battle. That is all for the intro, so hope everyone has a fun tournament and fair tournement!

Tournament Rules
1. All opponents must post verses with the same name that they signed up for the tournament with. If you don't, your opponent may have you disqualified(So for example lets say I am K3VIN and I sign up with K3VIN and then make a name called SecksiK3VIN I could be disqualified for using that name because my opponent may not have been able to research stuff about me or other reasons.).

2. All opponents must post their verses by the specified due date and time. No extensions will be given for any reason(If you die I’m really really sorry..). If there is a problem with your music site then send me your track and I will upload it straight onto the Battle Page. (dbz724kev@hotmail.com plus others on bottom) until your site is back up. If you post any time past the due date (even 1 minute) it will be up to your opponent whether your verse will count. There will be no exceptions to this rule. Make sure I can download the verse you post on your page so I can then upload it onto my Battle Page.

3. All verses must be within the specified time limit. This includes your entire track, not just the verse itself. If your track runs over the time limit, your opponent may have you disqualified. (So if you make a long ass intro/outro it still counts towards your time.)

Battle Time Limits

Round 1: 1 - 3minutes
Round 2: 1 - 3 minutes
Round 3: 2 - 4 minutes
Finals: 3 - 6 minutes

4. Post your own shit... it must be you and can not be someone else or you will be disqualified.. you are the one we want hear rap(Well figuratively although you can have someone say something in the intro or outro or whatever it may be, BUT not in a rapping sense… (lets say you want to do a skit or something or shit talk. That is fine (unless you guys don’t want that, I can change it)

5. No you will not be disqualified for reusing or ripping off lines.. but if someone notices it, it will definitely be used against you and you will see in the votes the change up in peoples opinions… so don’t risk it and PLEASE try and be creative.

6. Voting: Voting is very important to these battles.. voting is allowed by anyone that has joined before 2006 and has over 200 user posts... or is a participant in the battles. Vote swaying is not allowed and nor is any form of cheating... just post your votes and feedback in the song comments and nothing else or it will be deleted and possible D/Q could occur.

7. Feedback on each song will be appreciated maybe state your favorite line/s from the artist. I don’t want senseless beef… so talk shit in the Battle forum (Smile)

8. Participants must vote on at least 3 battles (this rule will not be effective due to lack of battles to vote on! Voting is still appreciated)... the requirement for voting is minimum 15 words(30 for finals plus new rules) then specify who you are voting for. Detail is also important, bland could mean you didn't really listen to the tracks. If the vote is like yo that dude was dope other dude sucked the vote will not be counted. comment on each persons track fairly.

Each round will have the same schedule:

Battles Posted: (Around 10:00 PM EST) this is when I’ll download yours and post them.

Verses Due: (7:59 PM EST) this is when you’ll post them
[February: 6, 14, 23, March: 3rd.]

Winner Announced: (8:00 PM EST)
[ February: 9, 17, 26, March: 7th ]
